Como evangelizar?

Não existe nenhuma fórmula mágica para evangelizar. Podemos evangelizar de muitas formas diferentes mas a mensagem principal é só uma. É importante seguir a direção do Espírito Santo na evangelização.

A mensagem do evangelho, que as pessoas precisam ouvir, é sobre a morte e ressurreição de Jesus. Todos pecamos e nossos pecados nos separam de Deus. Mas Deus nos ama e enviou Jesus para pagar o preço por nós (Romanos 3:23-24). Agora quem se arrepende de seus pecados e aceita Jesus como seu salvador volta a ter um relacionamento com Deus. Jesus nunca abandona quem o ama e um dia todos os salvos vão para o Céu.

Todo crente deve evangelizar. Muitas pessoas ainda não conhecem Jesus e precisam dele. Existem muitas formas de evangelizar e não podemos oferecer um padrão para usar em todas as situações. Mas existem algumas regras gerais que ajudam:

Orar

Tudo depende da vontade de Deus. Por isso é importante conversar com Ele e pedir ajuda para falar sobre Jesus (Efésios 6:18-19). É bom pedir para que Deus prepare seu coração e os corações dos ouvintes. Orar ajuda a ficar preparado. Para se preparar também é importante estudar a Bíblia e procurar aprender sempre mais sobre Jesus.

Viver o evangelho

O maior testemunho que você pode dar é a forma como você vive (1 Pedro 3:1-2). Uma vida transformada por Jesus não passa despercebido. Quando as pessoas à sua volta veem sua atitude diferente, vão fazer perguntas que podem levar a conversas sobre Jesus.

Amar o próximo

Amar o próximo é o segundo maior mandamento, depois de amar a Deus sobre todas as coisas (Mateus 22:37-39). A grande motivação para evangelizar é o amor. O objetivo da evangelização não é ter uma igreja grande nem receber reconhecimento. Evangelização não é sobre números nem estatísticas. Cada pessoa é importante e amada por Deus. É muito importante tratar as pessoas com amor quando você evangeliza. E o amor se expressa principalmente em ação (1 João 3:18)

Escutar

Evangelização não é só falar, também é escutar:

O Espírito Santo – para saber como guiar a conversa de maneira sábia.

O próximo – para conhecer melhor a pessoa, entender seu ponto de vista e tentar ajudar.

Falar a verdade

Jesus é a verdade, mas o diabo é o pai da mentira (João 8:44). Por isso, é muito importante ser honesto. Você não precisa fingir que tem todas as respostas (você não é Deus), nem que a vida é perfeita depois de conhecer Jesus. A verdade tem muito mais poder do que você imagina. Apenas a verdade liberta (João 8:32).

Não desistir!

Nem sempre você vai ver resultados. Desilusões acontecem e muitas pessoas não querem saber. Mas não desista! Aproveite cada oportunidade que Deus lhe dá e ore pelas pessoas. Você talvez não verá todos os resultados mas as sementes que você lança poderão dar tantos frutos que você nem imagina! -

How to evangelize?

There is no magic formula for evangelizing. We can evangelize in many different ways, but the main message is only one. It is important to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit in evangelizing.

The message of the gospel, which people need to hear, is about the death and resurrection of Jesus. We all sin and our sins separate us from God. But God loves us and sent Jesus to pay the price for us (Romans 3:23-24). Now, those who repent of their sins and accept Jesus as their savior return to have a relationship with God. Jesus never abandons those who love him and one day all those who are saved will go to Heaven.

Every believer should evangelize. Many people still do not know Jesus and need him. There are many ways to evangelize and we cannot offer a standard to use in all situations. But there are some general rules that help:

Pray

Everything depends on God's will. That is why it is important to talk to Him and ask for help to talk about Jesus (Ephesians 6:18-19). It is good to ask God to prepare your heart and the hearts of your listeners. Praying helps you to be prepared. To prepare yourself, it is also important to study the Bible and seek to learn more about Jesus.

Living the gospel

The greatest testimony you can give is the way you live (1 Peter 3:1-2). A life transformed by Jesus does not go unnoticed. When people around you see your different attitude, they will ask questions that can lead to conversations about Jesus.

Love your neighbor

Loving your neighbor is the second greatest commandment, after loving God above all things (Matthew 22:37-39). The great motivation for evangelizing is love. The goal of evangelizing is not to have a large church or to receive recognition. Evangelizing is not about numbers or statistics. Each person is important and loved by God. It is very important to treat people with love when you evangelize. And love is expressed mainly in action (1 John 3:18)

Listening

Evangelism is not just about talking, it is also about listening:

The Holy Spirit – to know how to guide the conversation wisely.

The neighbor – to get to know the person better, understand their point of view and try to help.

Speaking the truth

Jesus is the truth, but the devil is the father of lies (John 8:44). Therefore, it is very important to be honest. You do not need to pretend that you have all the answers (you are not God), nor that life is perfect after knowing Jesus. The truth has much more power than you imagine. Only the truth sets you free (John 8:32).

Don't give up!

You will not always see results. Disappointments happen and many people do not want to know. But do not give up! Take advantage of every opportunity that God gives you and pray for people. You may not see all the results, but the seeds you plant can bear so much fruit that you can't even imagine! -
